I am a tenured professor in the Arts and Media Department at SUNY Empire State University.
I am a core founding faculty member in the digital media arts degree program, teaching Digital Storytelling and The History and Theory of New Media in the Spring 2026 Term.

In addition to “traditional” performing arts, media and philosophy training, I have extensive expertise in digital media and technology, having developed a wide range of systems, environments and artifacts. For example, the avatars in the header above are a sampling of the 100 or so 3D characters I created for the virtual world Second Life, using Adobe Photoshop and a number of 3D software applications. My recent scholarly work focuses on AI – for the past couple of years, I have been co-leading SUNY FACT2 AI initiatives, and co-authoring the SUNY FACT2 AI Guides.
